Launch of the Bavarian Scientific Alliance for Peace, Conflict and Security Research
Four members of the Institute, Professor Dr Dr h.c. Heiner Bielefeldt, Prof Dr Marco Bünte, Prof Dr Thomas Demmelhuber and Prof Dr Katrin Kinzelbach are Fellows of the newly founded Bavarian Scientific Alliance for Peace,Conflict and Security Research. This alliance combines approaches from the social sciences, technology, natural sciences and humanities in order to develop scientific perspectives on global security policy challenges and to develop social and political solutions in dialogue with decision-makers. The Alliance is committed to strengthening democratic, liberal and rights-based structures at national, European and international level. During the kick-off event on the fringes of the Munich Security Conference, members of the Alliance, including Prof Dr Katrin Kinzelbach, and international guests discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on global security issues at Café Luitpold.
