International Exchange at ISA Congress in San Francisco

From April 2nd to 6th, Dr. Johannes Jüde, Prof. Dr. Katrin Kinzelbach and Dr. Lars Lott took part in the 2024 Congress of the International Studies Association (ISA). This year’s theme was “Putting Relationality at the Center of International Studies”. The congress served international academic exchange – more than 2,300 scholars came to San Francisco. Our institute members spoke on two different panels: “Managing Borders” and “Academic Freedom Worldwide: Challenges to Democracy, Peace and Society”. In addition to FAU, various institutions were represented on these panels, e.g. Brown University; Free University of Berlin; Stockholm University; Purdue University; Queen’s University Belfast; University of California, Irvine; University of Edinburgh; University of Saõ Paolo; and the Nordic Africa Institute.
