New Publication Introducing the Chinese Science System
As part of the BMBF-funded project “Academic Freedom in the People’s Republic of China (China)”, Dr Alexandra Kaiser recently published an introduction to the Chinese higher education system. This introductory book sheds light on key aspects of academic freedom of teaching and research in China and the question of institutional autonomy at Chinese universities. It is aimed at academics and universities in Germany who cooperate with academics and/or institutions in China and would like to gain an overview of the Chinese higher education system. It is also suitable as a study book for students of sinology and modern China studies as well as for students of other subjects who are planning a study visit to China. Here is the link to the book.
