‘As gently as the ripe apple falls from the tree’ – Lecture on the American Revolution by Alexander Kruska at BAA Conference 2022
On 9 July 2022, Dr. Alexander Kruska gave a lecture on the interpretation of the American Republic in 19th century’s German conservative thought at the annual conference of the Bavarian American Academy (BAA) in Munich.
The international conference investigated how the American Revolution functioned as a usable past, inspiring social movements, informing both state- and nation-building processes, and justifying political change in other world regions throughout the ages.
